Bonnie Henderson

Bonnie is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer through the Association for Pet Dog Trainers. She has a thing for hounds! She started training her first Basset Hound in 1988 and since then has moved on to Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Whippets. Bonnie is currently competing with 2 of her Ridgebacks in agility: “Shawna” was the #6, and “Akela” the #12 ranked Ridgeback in AKC for 2005. She has high hopes for her two young Whippets. Keeping the motivation high is the key to their success.

Bonnie has been teaching classes at Tails-U-Win! since 2000, instructing puppy, beginner, intermediate and advanced pet classes. She gets agility hopefuls started on the right path with her agility foundations class and also teaches the recreational agility classes. Bonnie is also an AKC Canine Good Citizenship evaluator and conducts many of the testing sessions at Tails-U-Win! Bonnie also will do private, in-home training for dogs and families who need special assistance. Bonnie has also worked as a family therapist for over 20 years and uses her dogs as therapy dogs.
