Although she’s lived with dogs her entire life, Shelley’s interest in training and competing began when she purchased her first purebred dog, a Vizsla named Devon, in 1992. She quickly became obsessed with the variety of activities available in the sport of purebred dogs, and has since titled several breeds of dogs in Obedience, Agility, Hunting, Herding, and Conformation. She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for training with pet owners and beginning competitors alike.
Shelley lives on a hobby farm with her husband and son, where they raise Angora rabbits and Border Leicester sheep. Her canine family currently includes 4 Collies, 3 Vizslas, a Border Collie and a Pit Bull. She is active with her current competition dogs, Tristan and Dusty (Collies), in all aspects of training, including Herding, Agility, Obedience, Conformation, and Tracking.
