Dogs are amazing creatures & wonderful companions and if you pay attention they will teach you many things! I found my first dog many years ago at the Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. I ended up there after finding the info for her through an ad in the newspaper! Admittedly, this is not the best way to find a dog when you've never had a dog prior! Not to mention, my new dog Rosie was an active young hunting breed known as a Weimaraner! I took her to many classes but found that training during that time was more punishment based and less reward based. We didn't work well together with these training methods and this is when I came across Tails! The Tails training opened my eyes to all the fun things that you and your dog can do through reward based training!

I'm not on my 8th Weim! My latest dog, Bennie is wonderful and a gift from a good friend! I keep saying he is not normal because he loves every one!

I have now been teaching classes at Tails for a number of years & I enjoy working with all the different breeds that come through the doors! Even with all the years of training I still love learning from all the new dogs and their handlers!
