Flyball with Para Smith & Caroline Studley
What is Flyball?
Flyball is a high-speed relay sport that is ideal for high-energy dogs. People that enjoy fast-paced team sports love flyball! All breeds and mixes are welcome.

Two teams of 4 dogs each race side-by-side over a 51 ft long course comprised of 4 jumps. The height of the jumps is determined by the height of the smallest dog on the team.

Each dog must run over the jumps, trigger a flyball box (releasing the ball) retrieve the ball, and return over the jumps.

The next dog is released to run the course but can’t cross the start/finish line until the previous dog has returned over all 4 jumps and reached the start/finish line.

The first team to have all 4 dogs finish the course without error wins the heat.
Para Smith has been training and competing in flyball for almost 15 years. Para has attended seminars, classes and bootcamps with various flyball trainers in an effort to learn safe, effective, and competitive training methods. Currently a member of the Fire & Ice flyball team, located out of Central MA, Para Smith plays flyball with her two young whippets. In addition to flyball, Para competes in dock diving and UpDog.
Caroline Studley started competing in flyball in 2013. Currently she competes with her mixed breed rescue and has a sportmix she expects to debut in the summer of 2025. Caroline is Secretary for Fire & Ice Flyball team based in Central MA and an Apprentice Judge for NAFA (North American Flyball Association). She also competes in disc and dock diving and dabbles in canicross for fun.
The little yellow mutt is my dog, the red border collie belongs to F&I's captain, who let me run her at nationals.

**Dogs must be 6 months or older and have taken family dog II or had an evaluation prior to signing up. No dog reactive dogs allowed in this class.

Beginner classes starting Saturday 3/22/25 at 6:30 pm & 7:30 pm
6 week sessions for $225 plus tax.
